This class offers an introduction to the dance classroom through the use of movement to familiar nursery rhymes and songs.
Ages: Must be 3 by 9/1/10

Section A:  Tuesdays  10:00 - 10:45
Section B:  Saturdays  9:30 - 10:15

This introduction to dance emphasizes body awareness and use of the imagination through exercises and movement to various styles of music.
Ages: Must be 4 by 9/01/10

Section A:  Thursdays 4:15 - 5:00
Section B:  Saturdays 10:15 - 11:00

Tuition: $189.00 per semester

In this introduction to classical ballet, with an emphasis on body placement, students will be introduced to basic barre and centre exercises.  No previous training is required.
Ages 6 1/2 to 10

Section A:  Mondays 4:30 - 5:30
Section B:  Saturdays 11:00 - 12:00

This class is a continuation from Creative Movement I, however, Movement I is not a prerequisite.  In addition to the floor exercises and "leader and follower" movements learned in Movement I, simple ballet barre exercises will be introduced.
Ages: Must be 5 by 9/01/10

Section A: Wednesdays 4:45 - 5:30
Section B:  Saturdays: 10:15 - 11:00
(section "B" only, is open to ages 4-6) 

Students receive instruction in barre and centre work of increasing technical difficulty with an introduction to batteries and pirouettes.
Prerequisite:  2 - 4 years of ballet.
Ages: 8 - 12

Section A:  Thursdays 5:00 - 6:30
