Anne Arundel County and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County awarded Barbara Winner, Director of L'Ecole de Danse, a $2500 ARPA Local Independent Artists Support Program Independent Artist Grant in both 2022 and 2023.

These awards help fund the L'Ecole de Danse Spring Performances at Anne Arundel Community College of "The Princess and the Pea," on June 4, 2022, and "Ragtime," on June 3, 2023.  In addition, the grants support the L'Ecole de Dance Summer Arts Program.

A special thank you goes to the Maryland State Arts Council for the Independant Artist Grant awarded to Barbara Winner in April of 2024. To discover more about the Maryland State Arts Council and how they impact Maryland, visit msac.org

Our ballet studio stresses not only self-discipline, correct body placement and traditional French terminology, but also encourages self-expression and confidence in movement through positive reinforcement to instill the love of dance in each student.  An annual performance is given each spring allowing students in Creative Movement, Ballet, Lyrical and Modern Dance the opportunity to perform in a full-length ballet program.
